Learning to ski as an adult can be a bit scary. Until I met Roddy I used to stand at the top of every run – even a blue or a red – and feel sick. However Roddy’s calm intelligence, positive mindset and brilliant explanations have instilled a confidence that has rendered me almost fearless. He is also fantastic company; always interesting to talk to, with a great sense of humour. To my mind, this is critical if you are skiing with someone every day for a week. I skied with Roddy for a week in Verbier and he helped build my confidence as well as my technique, while making it fun the whole time. He is very good at working out what sort of learning technique a person needs and adapting his teaching accordingly. I was thrilled with how quickly I progressed and I can’t wait to get back on the slopes with him next season! Amelia Freer

Skiing with Roddy shows you what might just be possible. In a very few lessons Roddy has improved every aspect of my skiing. I still haven’t worked out how he fits so much into a lesson, but what I am sure of is the results it delivers. He can ski and he can teach and he still finds it all fun (he’s actually quite a good lad too) so I will be back trying to make my lines and tracks look a bit more like his for many years to come.
